About Me

Thanks for coming over! A little about me. First things first: I'm not a wet nurse and never have been (sorry to disappoint fans of MILKED!). I'm actually a digital communications professional and freelance writer, and I live with my husband and son in the Chicago area. I like reality TV, checklists, celebrity gossip, reading, giving my unsolicited opinion and carbs.

I spent several years editing b-to-b magazines before shifting to nonprofit work, where I now work in website management, social media and digital marketing. I love my day job, and being a mom and writer as well keeps me even busier! I write for several major beauty trade publications and companies, and I was a contributor to WOMEN REINVENTED: TRUE STORIES OF EMPOWERMENT AND CHANGE (LaChance Publishing, 2010). 

My first novel, MILKED, was originally published by Simon & Fig in 2014, (Check out the Kirkus review here!) After Simon & Fig closed its doors, new Chicago-based publisher Lang Verhaal acquired rights to the novel. The novel was re-released in Spring 2019, and my second novel and first foray into YA, POINTS, was published in Fall 2020. A companion novel, LONGCUTS, was then released in Spring 2022. Currently working on a romcom!
